Gordon Ramsay Marie Rose Sauce

Gordon Ramsay Marie Rose Sauce

Marie Rose Sauce is a traditional British condiment, typically served with seafood. It’s made by combining mayonnaise, ketchup, and a touch of Worcestershire sauce, enhanced with lemon juice and optional spices for depth of flavor. Gordon Ramsay’s version brings balance and finesse to this beloved sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 tsp Tabasco sauce (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • Paprika (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Step 1: Combine the base ingredients. In a mixing bowl, add the mayonnaise and tomato ketchup. Whisk them together until smooth and well blended.
  • Step 2: Add the flavor enhancers. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and Tabasco sauce (if using). Mix until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
  • Step 3: Season the sauce. Taste the sauce and adjust with salt and freshly ground black pepper as needed.
